Our Grade 3 to 5’s has worked through various activities to make their own restaurants, from creating a name, slogan, décor as well as a menu! It was finally time to put all their great ideas into a Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentation. The children learnt about the different designs and slideshow animates. We also revised over how to change the font style, colour and size. Next week is the week for them to present their restaurants and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for us!!

This week with our Grade 6 and 7’s we explained to them the concept of debating. We split them into teams and were asked research a specific topic about cyber bullying. They used the internet to gather information thereafter they had to use Microsoft Word and put their information into a table form. Next week we are going to use our information to debate the topics that were assigned to them. We are so excited to see the children debate!!
With our Grade 6 and 7’s we touched on a very important issue: cyber bullying. We spoke a little about it when we discussed e-safety but now we went more into detail by asking the children to research it. We asked the children to find out what cyberbullying is, how we can prevent it, signs/effects of cyberbullying and facts about cyberbullying. We then asked them to put the information they gathered into a poster using Microsoft Office Publisher. The children also had to find images that were informative and captivating to a bystander. We were impressed on how seriously the children took the project. Here is one of our favourite poster:
