This week we worked through several of math’s activities. We went to the sea section and worked through the putting the right size fish in the right size hole, in ascending and descending order. We also went to the shoe shop and compared height and length with many objects such as couches and baby strollers. Lastly we went to the construction site and put the different shapes into the right places to make a picture, we made rockets and castles and trucks!!

This week the Grade 3 to 5’s created a fundraiser poster. We logged onto Purple Mash and open up the theme Children in Need. Our fundraiser was about helping under-privileged children. All of the posters had to have a date, time, venue and entrance fee. We had fun writing down the various food and play area’s that would be at our fundraisers. Even though the posters were not for a real fundraiser, a lot of the children agreed it would be a great idea to have one! We agree with them
This week we learnt about what clothes are appropriate for what weather, and why. We coloured in some paint projects and them labeled the items of clothing. We then created a dragging activity by drawing the outline of a warm winter jersey and also created different patterns to drag onto the jersey. We then played the game and decorated our beautiful jerseys!
This week with our Pre-school and Grade R students, we learnt about which animals can live in water, which can live on land and which can live in water and on land! We sorted them out into different and rightful categories and them played the game where all the animals were mixed up and the children had to put them back into their rightful category. It was such a fun and inter-active lesson with the children!!
